Resilience

Resilience is capacity to recover from difficulties /setbacks in life.

Psychologists define resilience as the process of adapting well in the face of adversity, trauma, tragedy, threats, or significant sources of stress—such as family and relationship problems, serious health problems, workplace issues and financial stressors.

Life happens to us and we need to bounce back . Right !

The question is how do we become more resilient?

These tips might help you:

💜Accept change – this is difficult however once you accept a situation, your mind starts to seek solution and will help you bounce back .

💜Become a continuous learner – whatever stage of life you are in , learning will change your focus , keep you engaged and show you new paths , which you may not be aware of . In the pandemic , so many people I know went for online course to build their knowledge , learn some skill and they found new avenues for business / career . Isn’t it a rewarding thing then ?

💜Take charge – remember E +R = O , your response (R) to the event (E) decides the outcome ( O) . You cannot control the events / situations however response is in your hand . taking charge of your life , is empowering act .

💜Find your sense of purpose – have a purpose however small, that gives meaning to life and coming back becomes easy when you know the WHY

💜Reflect – you can take time to reflect on what happened , process your thoughts , understanding will be better and coping will be better

💜Cultivate Relationships -relationships serve like balm . Spend time to nurture relationships personal or professional .

💜Pay attention to self care
